Oil is by far the dominant fossil fuel used in Sweden, accounting for nearly 28% of energy supply. All of it is imported. There is very little coal and gas used (around 4.7% combined). **Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used for in your country?** Around 45% of fossil fuels (predominantly oil) are used mainly for transportation. A tiny amount is used in industry and some is also used for non energy use such as in manufacturing, though this latter sector in total accounts for only 6% of total final energy consumption in Sweden. The remainder (around 50%) is exported and placed in bunkers after refining. **Policies to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country.** provide your ideas with self-taken photographs (see Notes) an/or self-made sketches. • Encourage a modal shift away from oil based combustion engines; o Personal transport – walking & cycling, public (electric) transport o Freight – electrified rail, electric vehicles o Public transport – electrified rail, electric vehicles ![cycling stockholm][1] ![electric truck][2] ![electric ferry][3] • Innovation in electric personal and freight vehicles which use nuclear and hydro energy sources (amongst others) • Electrification of rail • Increase energy production from non-fossil fuels [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1458649121204683.jpg [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14586491454393248.jpg [3]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14586491616755982.jpg
