![Commutings][1] In the alternative 1 there are two options: the first one is using the masive mean of transport (BTR) named Trasmilenio or using bicycle. In red the transportation by bus, and with points and in orange colour is represented the walking travel. ![Route][2] - Using BTR only is better than using bicycle when they are rainy days. **Note:** In this calculation is not considered the distance from the station at the University to different parts of my big University. - In contrast, using bicycle the commute is faster, one doesn't have to wait the common delays in the BTR, and also the experience is wonderful one can feel energized and in better disposition for the courses. **Note:** The time used in bicycle consider the nearest destinations to the University. Additionally, This has an added value you can save money and you stay in physical state. **Other considerations:** - For longer distances It is common that people who work in construction use bicycle instead BTR because of the delay when waiting at different stations, over occupation of the system and traffic jams (BTR is affected by the general traffic in Bogotá). However, in my case although I can arrive between 5-10Km faster than bus the lanes for cycling are disconected and because of that cyclist are exposed to danger of collision. Sometimes other factor that discourages the use of bycicle is the return in the nights because safety in some lanes is terrible.
