The first option to me is to take the bus with the following journey time and route: ![][1] The second option is to take the bus and the train. This option is undesirable personally due to the extra costs that would be incurred using two methods of public transport: ![][2] My last option, the option I take, is to cycle to work. Concerning this method of transportation I will provide two routes, a 'scenic' route and a 'efficient' route. Firstly the 'scenic' route: ![][3] ![][4] (source of image http://www.liverpoolviews.co.uk/south/otters/marin7.jpg) Secondly the 'efficient' route: ![][5] As you can see there is a fairly large difference regarding distance between the two routes (2.2miles), however in terms of time saved this only amounts to 6 minutes. Additionally, not only is the scenic route a more pleasurable route but also, as it avoids the main roads for a large portion of the journey, safer. Recently I have opted to travel to work taking the 'efficient' cycle route. I believe this is due to the familiarity of the route and also the time I can save in reaching my destination. Furthermore, due to the 'scenic' routes location next to the river Mersey, there can often be strong winds that greatly increase journey time and the amount of physical effort it can take to complete the journey.
