![Decription of the routes][2] The two routes demonstrated in the schemes above are my possibilities of mobility from my house to my school. They are by car and by bus, which includes small periods of walking. Usually, my mom drives me to school with the family’s car, since I’m not old enough to get my own driver’s license. I leave to school before 7:00, so the traffic is very light. This results in a quite short travel time, which makes me quite happy about this specific means of transport. On the other hand, the car releases toxic gases into the atmosphere, and it is the least recommendable means of transport when it comes to sustainability. In addition, the visibility of the social issues is restricted from inside the car, making people quite blind about the problems of their own city. However, I also have the choice to go to school by bus. Since buses have exclusive lanes in São Paulo’s streets, traffic is low, and therefore the travel time is short as well. Both my house and my school are located next to bus stops, so my walking distances are no more than 510 m. In addition, the walking route from the bus stop to my school passes through a beautiful park, which makes me very happy and invigorated. Also, by walking and utilizing public means of transportation, such as the bus, I feel like I’m contributing to the environment, and feel very satisfied. In conclusion, although I use route 1 more often, I believe route 2 is better for me and the environment.
