From my home, I have routinely three destinations: first school of my son, second office and third college before returning back home: ![Route 1][1] ![Route 1 table][2] ***Route 1:*** Use the private vehicle to commute from my house, I leave my son at school and head to the office, it takes me 46 minutes. Arriving at the office usually walk 1.1 km in 13 minutes to go to college and come back for my course and then take the car to go pick up my little one, then go around 9 km of going and return spend 40 minutes. Finally at nightfall we returned home by a different route due to traffic traveling 15.9 km in 48 minutes. ![Route 2][3] ![Route 2 table][4] ***Route 2:*** Use the private vehicle to commute from my house, I leave my son at school and head to the office, it takes me 46 minutes crossing 15.3 km. Arriving at the office usually walk 1.1 km in 13 minutes to go to college and come back for my course. I change often the type of mobility here: take a bus to go pick up my little one I have to walk 10 minutes to the bus stop, take a bus and walk another 7 minutes, then go around the same way so I spend 30 minutes spending 30 minutes each way and 35 bac to cycle through the 9 km away. Finally at nightfall we returned home by a different route due to traffic traveling 15.9 km in 48 minutes. Between Route 1 and 2 there is no major difference in time when only 24 minutes. The difference between choosing the first or the second is often in the climate of the city, the security that one feels when walking or bus within these routes and the time factor. Certainly the cost of gasoline is also a decisive factor vs the cost of passenger transport is significantly cheaper . Furthermore eventually we hope to change the site of our home getting closer to the north of the city center where we operate to drastically reduce the distances between home, school and work.
