I live in Trujillo, the climate is humid and temperate but the climate change has increased more the temperature making this summer the hottest. The temperature up to 91° F causing heatstroke that affect health in younger and older, including heat stress. Which are the measures you would propose?** Conserving existing space. Increase shade in City trough planting trees. Shrubs on balconies in high buildings becoming 'house'. Green roofs used for decrease temperature very high and clean up the atmosphere, besides air will be purified permanently and reduce heat gain inside building. **4. Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area?** I am not aware of any policy in the area of Trujillo, but I think that here, the government doesn't invest in a best public transport system because people still prefer go in private cars, despite them, in last years due to change climate, people has taken awareness and when they need remove a tree to make a new building, planting it elsewhere.
