![ado urban][2] 1. Checked. 2. I live in the capital city of Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State. The most UHI effect is from the pollution caused by the use of motorcycles which are enormous in number as most residents have made it a vocation and it is the major source of intra city transport. 3. The use of motorcycles are increasing at geometric progression. I would recommend to reduce the number of motorcycles to reduce the greenhouse emission and other pollutants improving the air quality and reducing the air temperatures. 4. Ado is getting polluted by the day and the air quality is getting poorer. But still no significant steps are being taken to tackle the problem on either micro or macro level.
