![Campinas][1] Campinas is the city where I live. With more than 1 milion of on inhabitants, it is a very polluted city. Here we can clearly observe the effects of the urban climate changes. The bad air quality and higher temperatures specially in the main centre of the city, are two consequences of the activities of the human beings on the planet. -3. Which are the measures you would propose? We should reduce the emission of polluted air (reducing the number of cars in circulation, banning industries that are detrimental to air quality and creating more green areas around the city). -4. Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area? Campinas is the first city in Brazil that start this year using buses moved by eletricity. We already have 5 vehicles circulating using this type of technology (what is very helpful for the decrease of bad air emissions).
