At daytime the weather is nice, because of the shadow of the trees placed all over the district area, (it changes when there are no trees), and it helps that building are small and street is big. But at night time the comfort is lost because of the canopy-layer heat island effect and the humidity increase the thermal feeling. Picture 2: ![Cieneguilla][2] Cieneguilla, Lima, Perú. At daytime the weather is nice in some parts, it is a place where you can find trees in the residences but not some much in the road. So when you are in the road there is not thermal comfort. Road is full of dust. Residences are big and buildings are not tall. La Molina and Cieneguilla are similar places. But at night, at Cieneguilla there is thermal comfort because of the materials used in the wide streets. **3. Which are the measures you would propose?** The first measure I would propose is to plant tall trees in wide avenues, because it would allow wind to flow and as the wind speed is slow it would permit heat goes from those places. Also another measure would be increase the green areas all around the place. **4. Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area?** In la Molina district, located in the city of Lima, there is a big concern policy that is being making. La Molina has 32.91m2/hab. green área. They have 192 parks and 32 lateral and central berms with green areas. The municipality also promotes half a day in weekend to increase bike use.
