2 Which are the main UHI effects that you can identify in your area? Comparing to large US cities and its temperature differences, Belgrade has moderate effect of UHI. The Ecological map of Belgrade below shows temperature differences of 1.3 C between city center and suburbs. (R= annual rainfall, Ts=median annual temperature, Tsn=median low temp for January, Tsx= median high temp for July) ![average annual rainfall for belgrade][1] City center has high density polpulation and a lot of narrow canyon streets whitch contribute to higher temperatures. Many green city areas, two rivers and strong winds make this problem less manifested. Suburbs are dominated by low dencity residential building therefore slightly lower UHI effect. ![belgrade center][2] ![suburbs][3] 3 Which are the measures you would propose? Creating strategies for future construction regulations. No more high strorey buildings comparing to street dimensions. New park surfaces. Bicycle routs throughout whole city and underground trams to introduce new job to work commutes. Car restriction in city center. 4 Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area? No policies other then promoting public tansportation.
