Considering my city is a very small town with no tall buildings (there are only like 3 or 4 tall buildings which are far one from another), there’s barely no difference in climate between rural and urban areas. Though, due to higher population and less vegetation, the center of the city has a bit higher temperature (something like 2-3 Celsius). ![Urban Area][1] **Urban Area** ![Surrounding Rural Area][2] **Surrounding Rural Area** **Which are the measures you would propose?** Even though the UHI effect is not that noticeable in my city, I’d propose making more green areas in the center of the city, converting parking lots in more efficient and green places, and reduce the use of personal vehicles (to promote the use of public transportation). **Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area?** Not really since it isn’t considered as a real treat.
