Around Amsterdam there are farms producing cheese, vegetables and other crops. Fishery is also very developed. Products are selled on local markets in the city. ![enter image description here][1] b. Regulating services In the area around Amsterdam (below the sea level) there is lot of wetlands. It works a natural filter for waste water. Lot of large parks, in the city center individual trees wherever is possible, courtyards with a lot of big trees, all that works as a carbon storage and contributes to the better air quality. ![enter image description here][2] c. Habitat or Supporting services All the green areasin Amsterdam are very urbanized, there is just one bigger area considered as a forest – Amsterdamse Bos. However, there are different species living freely in the parks. In Vondelpark, there is a hundred species of trees and a large number of local and imported products. Amsterdam seems to be a city of birds. There is a lot of species you can see on the streets. The most surprising are „parakeets“- wild green parrots first settled in Vondelpark,but nowadays can be seen throughout Amsterdam. ![enter image description here][3] ![enter image description here][4] d. Cultural services The parks in Amsterdam are very culturized,not very natural. There is a lot of biking and jogging trails, fitness equipment and other sport facilities. In the biggest ones (Vondelpark, Westerpark) are also restaurants, playgrounds, openspace for performances etc. During the warmer and dryer months, Amsterdammers are spending a lot of time outside.
