**Guayas River:** The picture bellows shows the image of the main Ecuadorian port, Guayaquil, located in the low catchment area of the Guayas River, leading to the Pacific Ocean in twenty kilometers. The Guayas River is the main important supplier of certain kind of fishes, crustaceans and so other species. Habitat or supporting services** **Mangroves of Guayaquil.**: At present, they are considered a natural patrimony of Guayaquil despite the fact that a vast quantity of them has been deforested for more than fifty years.
