*1.- Food* - In the agricultural subsector, Nuevo Leon has an area of 392,415 hectares which represents the 6% of the total area in the state, 71% are temporary and 29% are irrigation. This activity takes place in the main valleys and plains of the state. Nuevo Leon produces about 1.3% of harvested products in Mexico and represents a value of agricultural production in 4088 M. pesos. - In the livestock subsector, Nuevo Leon, has an area that rise to 55,535,938 hectares and represents the 86% of the total area in the state, of which 90% are natural pasture, 0.3% are meadows irrigation and the remaining 9.7% are temporary grassland. The surface of pasture is the largest in the state, and is located in the central and northern grasslands. It has several rivers but usually they don’t have permanent current, except in the middle and lower parts and all these lead the Rio Grande river or San Fernando and Soto la Marina, also has various dams. The climate in Nuevo Leon is extremes. It is mainly hot and dry, but has mild temperatures in the highest areas, temperatures are freezing in winter and heavy rains, and sometimes hurricanse. Types of climates. - Dry and semi-dry 68% - Humid temperate 7.1% - Very Dry 4.8% - Warm humid 20% The air quality in the metropolitan area is measured several times a day to inform the public of pollution caused by the public sector, the services and type of transportation. ![ingrese la descripción de la imagen aquí][5] **C.- HABITAT OR SUPPORTING SERVICES** *1.- Habitats for species:* Protected areas occupy 4.3% of the state territory. Cumbres National Parks (177.395 hectares), El Sabinal (8 hectares) and the Natural Monument Cerro de la Silla (6,039 hectares) are protected by federal law. A decree of the state government protects 23 areas with more than 157.387 hectares ![ingrese la descripción de la imagen aquí][6] ![ingrese la descripción de la imagen aquí][7] **D.- CULTURAL SERVICES** *1.- Recreation and mental and physical health:* The Fundidora Park is declared national and world heritage site, is located in the city of Monterrey and is the first urban public park in the north of the country. In the park are 27 objects that tell the industrial history of the city, it covers an area of 142 hectares and offers visitors a variety of areas designated for rest, recreation and coexistence.
