a. Provisioning services Food – The local crops are beans, corn, apples etc. Cuyahoga falls, is a small city in the Summit county and there are lot of farmlands surrounding the city. During the warmer months ( May to October ), the local farms are abundant with local and fresh produce. Vegetable/fruit picking are on the rise during these months. Raw materials – The Industrial town is home to auto manufacturing units, polymer industries, rubber industries, steel industries etc. Fresh water – The main water sources here are from the lakes, rivers, reservoirs and streams. Ground water is used for public services b. Regulating services Local climate and air quality – The climate is Humid continental climate (Warm summer). The air quality in major cities of Ohio is more polluted than its suburbs which have vast farm lands and fewer building footprints. Waste water treatment – The presence of Cuyahoga river which is a revived river gave rise to several laws relating to protect the river and its surroundings and have been stringent. c. Cultural services Recreation and mental and physical health –The Cuyahoga national park is accessed by various Trails which run throughout the valley and also consist of various pause points such as Gazebos, bridges, semi open spaces, fishing decks etc. Tourism - The parks and the Scenic rail ride ( which was used as a trade route back in the day) which runs throughout the valley are some of the tourist attractions within the city. Aesthetic appreciation and inspiration for culture, art and design - The city centre or the Falls square as it is known as, is an interesting plaza space created with many levels. The upper levels are used for entertainment like music bands, skating rink in winter, water fountains arena in summer. the lower level has parking and space for temporary markets.
