**a. Provisioning services** *Food, raw material and fresh water.* Piedmont is in a strategic position between two rivers at the bottom of mountains. About detailed information about Piedmont agriculture see the link to several reports below (in Italian): http://www.piemonte.coldiretti.it/agricoltura-piemontese-in-cifre.aspx?KeyPub=10019351%7C10019390 Agriculture has an economic burden by far lower than that of the industry. In the mountains there are obtained small amounts of rye, oats, and potatoes. In lowland, instead the soil is intensively used thanks to irrigation systems. The main agricultural products of Piedmont are: rice (more than half of the crop Italian total), corn, wheat, some vegetables (beans, celery), fruit (peaches, hazelnuts, strawberries, apples). Wine production is quantitatively modest (about a nineteenth than Italian), but characterized by some valuable. Livestock farming, especially the cattle, is well developed and provides significant amounts of the resulting products: meat, milk, butter, cheese. The forests provide timber for almost a fifth of the total Italian production. The public water that comes into our homes is actually a mixture of many different sources; nearly 75% comes from groundwater wells, located in various areas of the first and second belt. Just over 5% comes from two springs, the Pian della Mussa one and another near Cumiana; the rest is water taken from the river Po and purified. ***b. Regulating services*** *Local climate and air quality.* In Turin there are a few parks, where we can find a lot of types of plants. City parks has equipped recreation areas. One, Valentino Park, is special because it has built a replica of 1884 of a feudal village of the fifteenth century.
