Cyprus is an island with the longest travelling distance by car is approximately two hours. With four different cities there is a certain distribution of services throughout those cities. 1) Provisioning Services • Food: While there are many agricultural crops in Paphos and Limassol which produce vegetables and fruits as well as fish farming (Limassol) there is still a big amount of import to satisfy domestic demand. • Raw materials: Raw materials for the manufacture of cement comprise chalk or low magnesium limestone, marl or clay and minor gypsum which can be found near the Moni village. Many other raw materials can be found in different parts of Troodos. • Fresh water: Can be found in Kykkos Natural Spring, in St. Nicholas spring and Agros spring. ![Kykkos spring][1] • Medicinal resources: Plant Nurseries that grow medicinal plants can be found in Kornos. 2) Regulating Services • Local climate and air quality: Many forests such as Troodos forest, Kornos forest and Athalassa National forest park • Carbon sequestration and storage: Plenty of vegetation can be found and inside the city, thanks to many citizens wish to have a connection with nature resulting in many houses having big enough gardens. 3) Habitat or Supporting Services • Habitat for species: The Cyprus Mouflon exists only in Cyprus, in the Paphos forest station. 4) Cultural Services • Recreation and mental and physical health: Many recreation and health centers can be found in every city of Cyprus. • Tourism: Limassol is the most touristic city right now in Cyprus, but that changes according to the seasons. In the summer Limassol is the place to go, with many beaches and hotels and nightlife all close by. In the winter many foreigners visit different villages like Kalavasos or Kakopetria.
