![enter image description here][1] Q.2 In terms of the final consumption of dominant fossil fuels, Bolivia uses oil products, predominantly oriented to transportation purposes (i.e. road construction and mobility) and for residential and agricultural purposes, as shown in the following Sankey diagram. It is also important the share of bio-fuels and waste, especially for industrial purposes as well as the usage of natural gas. As can been seen, although the Bolivian economy is small, the majority of its energy flows produce high levels of CO2 emissions. ![enter image description here][2] Q.3 My recommendation will be, as primary policy target for the medium-term, to invest in the expansion of hydro power energy production, since the country has been blessed with this natural resource. In the long-run, I will recommend start investing right now in solar, wind and geothermal energies, taking into consideration their very low levels of CO2 emissions and footprint. To implement these policies, it is important to modernize the institutional framework to appropriately regulate these energy sectors, something that at present time seems difficult, especially with regards to the private sector participation. Furthermore, it is important to create a general campaign towards these future potential of these energy sectors as well as improve the efficiency of energy consumption at industrial and household levels.
