First of all, the temperature in Moscow and surrounding rural areas differs in 10 degrees approximately (source: Mikhail A. Lokoshchenko, Anatoly A. Isaev «Influence Of Moscow City On The Air Temperature In Central Russia») due to several reasons: building density; there are still a lot of production (plants and factories) within the territory of the city; the density of vehicle is dramatically high and, moreover, there are no alternative energy and, thus, all manufactories are pollute the environment (pic 1 and 2). As it can be seen from the first pictures there is a great difference between Moscow and its rural areas. ![enter image description here][1] ![enter image description here][2] The effects are clear: poor health level of citizens, polluted environment, permanent traffic jams, dirty city and ect. In my opinion there are 3 ways to provide a more livable environment: Firstly, increasing the number of green plantations, which would decrease the heat level. Secondly, to relocate production centres. Finally, to encourage citizens to use electro cars or bicycles and public transport. Unfortunately, Moscow is only at the very beginning of the development of the livable city and still roads are expended and cars double, let alone the building density. However, there is a positive side the Moscow Department of transport has initiated reform about progressive system of parking in the city centre which aim is to stimulate citizens not to use the personal vehicles, but the public transport. To illustrate, the density of cars in the centre of Moscow decline on 30% in a year, hopefully that this tendency will continue.
