![View of the city of Cusco][1] Heat and solar radiation are problems in the city of Cusco, in sunny days like the one in the image the temperature can get high in the streets (this is relative because Cusco almost never has a temperature of more than 26 C° and hardly anyone uses air conditioning), the heat sensation is unconfortable . UHI probably generate because of the lack of vegetation inside the city, and because builders don't take in consideration factors such as street canyons or wind direction. Also solar beam is reflected in the cement of the streets and the temperature rises, but I think the most important factor is pollution, pollution comes mainly from vehicles and has been growing. In the other hand, the little city of Huaro: This city is very near to Cusco, 30 minutes away, it has more vegetation and is less poluted. ![View of the city of Huaro][2] Q3. Mesures I propose more vegetation and less polution. Q4. UHI effect is not a concerning policy making in the area of Cusco, Very few people (and probably not policy makers) has heard about it.
