[This is a picture of the sky in Paris][1] [This second picture is the one of a rural area surrounding Paris][2] As we can see, there is not a lot of difference between these both skies. So, we can not really explain the UHI effect on Paris. 2) I would propose a "green solution" by inputing more vegetation in cities. 3) To reduce the UHI effect in Paris, they use a lot of greenwalls. For example, they use green roofs or solar trees too. Indeed, there is a program who wants to set up a lot of waterproof greenwalls in a large space. The projets aims at be an area of 3 km 2 vegetated in Paris. Unfortunately, this project is too low and we do not see a big difference for the moment. Nevertheless, contributes to energy saving thermal insulation in walls and roofs.
