Actually, Veszprém is a relatively small city with the population of 60,788 people. Only one high-rise building stands in the center, neither the urban density nor the vehicular traffic are too intense. This means that the UHI effect is rather low (or hardly can be perceived) here. As already mentioned, I don't think that a relevant UHI effect could be observed in our city, but perhaps I would reduce traffic in the heart of the settlement. 4. Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area? Unfortunately, I do not know any of policies in my community that are planned to reduce the UHI effect.
