Here are two pictures, one of the urban zone and another of the rural areas. http://www.go2peru.com/destinos/large/Lima_marzo08-002.jpg Urban Area in Lima (San Isidro) http://www.sierraverdeperu.net/portal/media/com_hikashop/upload/azpitia.jpg Azpitia- Rural Area 3. I think that architecture can help the cities to reduce the UHI, as we have learn in this week, the design conditions affect directly the way to keep a temperature more comfortable in the streets, and also to keep those micro climate that appears in the surroundings of buildings. If we can apply all this knowledge into the new cities we can get better thermal conditions for the people that live in urban zones and we can also help to save some energy avoiding the use of so many air cooling systems in buildings. 4. Now in my city there is no even information about the different temperatures in urban and rural areas, I think there is no plan because here the government doesn´t think that is an important topic as the poverty or the fact that our education is very bad.
