Oil products are mainly used in Transport. The sector uses 4.49 Mtoe, shared mostly between Road (3.36 Mtoe), Domestic Navigation (0.72 Mtoe), Domestic aviation (0.40 Mtoe). After Transport, Non-Energy Industry follows with a consumption of oil products of 1.78 Mtoe. ![enter image description here][1] In order to reduce the consumption of energy I would act on Transport, as it is the sector that uses most oil products as an energy source. Road transport should be reduced when possible. This could be achieved by improving and extending the public transport and its network in cities and across the country. The building sector could also help reducing energy consumption with a high standard of energy efficiency in all new buildings. Also important would be an intervention of retrofitting the existing buildings to improve their energy performance. [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1446717736568937.jpg
