Which are the main UHI effects that you can identify in your area?** Valencia (Spain), has a very specific and interesting metropolitan area due to its edible landscape and riverbed suroundings. For instance, the August mean temperature for the city in 2015 is 27ºC, and for January it's of 12ºC. Which are the measures you would propose?** There's a short-term measure that I would apply in the city. There are many abandoned public plots. In order to decrease the mean temperature, I would set urban gardens there. Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area?** As there has been a change in city government so lately (just 3 months ago), there aren't any applied policies related to the topic by the moment. But as far as I know they're concerned about environmental issues as it's a coalition between ecosocialists and others.
