Why such differentiation in the planning is seen? Why only certain per centage of the land allows better environment? If I were to propose, in order to reduce the UHI effect and provide a more livable environment to the citizens, I would amalgamate the building typologies such that the balance of both is achieved by each and every inhabitant of the city. Various policies have been implemented on this context such as Article 48-A: By Constitution (42nd Amend) Act, Sec.10 (w.e.f. 3.1.1977) Improvement of Environment and Safeguarding of Forests and Wild life: " to protect and improve the environment and to safeguard the forest and wildlife of the country Article 51-A (g): By Constitution (42nd Amend) every citizen of India to protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers and wildlife and to have compassion for living creatures. I would say steps have been taken but only few follow them, we should take an initiative as soon as possible.
